I am with Heart of Texas Therapy Dogs. A fellow member of this fine organization has a longcoated female Chihuahua that is adorable. Good Therapy dog. Worked with her about 3 years.
I had a Chihuahua many years ago. Always wanted a longcoated dog. Didn't know then Chihuahuas also can be a longcoat. After working with Barbara and Tina I would like to have a longcoated Chihuahua. Saw picture of Tiarnan. What a beautiful dog. I love the coat. I have Shih Tzus now. Love them too.

I was given your contact information by Glenda with the Pomeranian Rescue and Gorilla dogs here in Austin. We lost a 5 month old pup to kidney failure and were heartbroken. We now have a little rescue Chihuahua that we are hoping will work out. She is just under a year and is a bit aggressive with our other two dogs but we are working with her. Our oldest is 12 and we wanted to get a younger dog before he is too much older. She is a sweetie so hope we can train her. If for some reason it doesn't work or we couldn't find another rescue dog we may be interested in a pup again. Just wanted to make contact and find out more about your pups. Thanks.

What lovely dogs and what a great website! I linked here from Barb Pendergrass' page (Rafina Chihuahuas) and was surprised and pleased when I saw your pictures of Toffee and realized I had met both him and his handler Sharon at the very first dog show I ever attended in Omaha, Nebraska last year. I doubt Sharon remembers me, but she kindly took the time to chat with me about the wonderful world of showing chihuahuas and, albeit unknowingly, contributed to my start in the fancy. Thanks in part to that conversation, I went to several other dog shows and the National specialty in Chicago this past year, where I met Barb Pendergrass and her lovely dog Tyson (CH Rafina Tie a Yellow Ribbon). And now, in two weeks, my husband and I will be flying up to Michigan to pick up our first ever show dog, a lovely 5 month old longcoat named Carlos, who is a Tyson son.
So anyway, soon I'll be embarking on my first show with a great dog, and it's all thanks to Sharon taking the time to visit with me and introduce me to Toffee, who, with his beautiful looks and winning personality, inspired me to get a show quality longcoat chi of my very own.

I love looking at pictures of Toffee - I have a cream l/c male that is very similar in coat and type - NZ Ch Shahtu Amontilado. His line goes back to the English dog owned by Peggy Rider - English Ch Rowley Perito of Sektuny. Toffee and Monty are so similar in type - I expect that Rowley Perito is at the back of both of them. I have a cream bitch puppy being shown in Hawaii at the moment - Shahtu La Belle Karizma. She is also the same type as Toffee and your l/c puppy photos. Now: we are dedicated to this breed, in spite of the big difference in temperament compared with the maltese. Helga is breeding maltese since 1984.

I have been looking for a special puppy for about 3yrs. I went to the Amarillo Show 12/6-12/8 2002 and saw two of your pups. What beautiful chihuahuas!
